Hawks Dominate Cobras, Win Debut

Sep 15, 2019

The Sheridan Hawks flew past the Butte Cobras in an easy 8-0 victory.  Alex Kesler found the back of the net a minute and a half into the game, and the Hawks never looked back, burying seven more unanswered goals.  The Hawks offense was led by Justin Schwartzmiller, with two goals and two assists, and Blake Billings, who recorded two goals in the game as well.  Logan Syrup, Trevor Timm, and Kamden Sengheiser followed suit with goals of their own.  Sheridan bombarded Butte’s Colton Marcy with 72 shots after stepping in for Casey Mattfeldt’s 12 save performance on 15 shots, and he turned away 67 of them.  Zach Hearn captured a twenty-save shutout and the win for the Hawks.

Sheridan would continue their dominate performance on Saturday with a final score of 8-2 over Butte.  Nine Hawks made the scoresheet in the game with six of them having multi-point performances.  Kolten Wright had a gargantuan game, pounding home six points (1g 5a); thank you very much Mr. Sittler.
