Royer Commits to ACHA D1’s Midland University

NA3HL – The Sheridan Hawks Junior Hockey Club, who just finished with its first year in the NA3HL, are pleased to announce that Top Prospects defenseman Jack Royer has committed to play ACHA Division 1 hockey at Midland University.
The Warriors, located in Fremont, NE, play ACHA Division I hockey in the Great Plains Athletic Conference or the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics.
Royer, 20, just finished his second and final season playing in the NA3HL. The 6’0/210 lbs. native of Madison, Wisconsin, had his best career season during the 2019-20 campaign, playing in 47 games for the Hawks and recording 44 points (6 goals, 38 assists).
Royer was selected to and played in the 2020 NA3HL Top Prospects Tournament for the Frontier Division team.
Royer played last season for the Wisconsin Whalers in the NA3HL moving with the team to their new home in Sheridan, Wyoming. Overall in two NA3HL seasons, Royer appeared in 70 games and posted 51 points.
“Jack is a big, strong player that is physical on the ice,” said Midland Head Coach Jason Cirone. “He has an upside offensively and makes it difficult for his opponents.  We are really excited to bring him in. His leadership and toughness is always something we are looking for. Getting a player from Sheridan, knowing he’s been taught a good work ethic, makes us a better team.”
