Nov 11, 2019

The Hawks honored the military with Military Appreciation Night.  A special jersey honoring our veterans was auctioned raising approximately $3,800 to be shared with the Wyo West Warrior Foundation!

The Hawks also honored a retired service member with a ceremonial puck drop to kick off the weekend and a thank you from the Hawks FaceBook account – “What a great great thing we had at Military Appreciation Night this past Friday evening!  One of the great moments of the event was the honor of having Al Billings, grandfather of two of our players, Blake and MacCaffrey Billings, on the ice for our ceremonial face off!  Thank you to former Hospital Corpsman 3rd Class Al Billings, Order of the Purple Heart and Bronze Star recipient for your service.”

The Hawks also thanked several other members of the military present at the game via FaceBook – “Thanks to our Military Appreciation Night Color Guard, Captain Ray Weiser and Master Sargent James Casteel of the Wyoming Army National Guard 960th Brigade Support Battalion and special guest retired Sargent 1st Class Rudy Pearson for presenting our great nation’s flag for the national anthem! Shown here is our Color Guard and our Little Hawk of the night Amia Koltiska!”

The Sheridan Hawks completed a successful campaign against Missoula this weekend, winning both games and outscoring their opponent 13-3.  The Hawks are now 14-4 on the season and will put their 10-game win streak on the line for one game only at home against Yellowstone Quake 7:30 p.m. Nov. 15.
