FREMONT, Neb. – Midland University men’s hockey has announced the signing of Kolten Wright to their latest recruiting class. Wright will be joining the Warriors after playing for the Sheridan Hawks of the North American Tier III Hockey League (NA3HL). He is one of three players from the Hawks to sign with the Warriors this spring.
Last season with the Hawks, Kolten appeared in 45 games and had 69 points from his forward position. He had 25 goals and assisted on 44 others. Prior to playing for Sheridan, he spent time with the Wisconsin Whalers (NA3HL) after playing high school hockey in his home-state of Wisconsin.
“Kolten is a very smart player. He reads the ice extremely well and makes his line-mates better players,” said Midland head coach Jason Cirone. “I expect him to come in and play a lot of minutes for us and to be a leader with his disciplined work ethic.”
